How do I add a book to my collection?

Tap the + button on the Home or Collection screen. You can search by title or author, or scan the ISBN barcode on the back of your book using your camera.

How do I update my reading progress?

Tap on any book in your collection to open its details. From there, you can update your current page and the app will calculate your progress automatically.

What's the difference between Collection and Wishlist?

Your Collection contains books you own or are currently reading. The Wishlist is for books you'd like to read in the future. You can easily move books from your Wishlist to your Collection when you're ready to start reading.

How do achievements and XP work?

You earn XP by adding books, updating your reading progress, and completing books. As you accumulate XP, you'll level up and unlock medals for various reading milestones. Keep reading to unlock them all!

Is my data backed up?

Currently, your reading data is stored locally on your device. We recommend keeping your device backed up through your phone's built-in backup features (iCloud or Google backup) to protect your data.

Can I use Chaptered offline?

Yes! Once you've added books to your collection, you can view and update your reading progress without an internet connection. An internet connection is only needed when searching for new books to add.

The barcode scanner isn't working. What should I do?

Make sure you've granted camera permissions to Chaptered in your device settings. Hold your phone steady and ensure the barcode is well-lit. If issues persist, you can always search for the book manually by title.

How do I delete a book from my collection?

Tap on the book to open its details, then look for the delete option. Don't worry — you can always add it back later!
